Associate Professor Dr. Philip George is a Consultant Psychiatrist and Addiction Specialist. He is presently the Associate Dean at the Clinical School of the International Medical University. He is a committee member of the Addiction Medicine Association of Malaysia and the Malaysian Healthy Ageing Society as well as Assistant Secretary to the Manipal Alumni Association of Malaysia. He is a member of the Academy of Medicine, Malaysian Psychiatric Association and Malaysian Mental Health Association. His clinical areas of interest are in, Adult Mood Disorders, Substance Abuse, Anxiety Disorders and Managing Stress.

His previous appointments include Senior Staff Specialist at Alcohol & Drug Program, Canberra Hospital and Senior Staff Specialist, ACT Mental Health in Canberra, Australia. He was also Consultant Psychiatrist and Team Member, Mental Health Service Reform post Tsunami, Aceh, Indonesia through Asian Development Bank.
