Dr Kathiravan graduated from the dental faculty University Malaya and has been in private dental practice for more than 20 years.  He is well known for his interest in writing, teaching and research. He has more than 30 articles published in international journals. His achievements include obtaining various post graduate qualifications in orthodontics and oral surgery. Currently he is undergoing advance training in oral and maxillofacial surgery in Hospital University Sains Malaysia.
