Wisdom Tooth Extraction

Wisdom Tooth Extraction

"Wisdom tooth, as commonly known, is actually the third molar tooth. For most of us wisdom teeth are the last teeth in the mouth, usually erupted during the late teens or early 20's. For most of us wisdom teeth are either fully erupted, partially erupted or do not erupt at all. It is common to have some discomfort during eruption of wisdom teeth, epecially the lowers. The most common complaint is pain and swelling. This is normally followed by fever, difficulties in mouth opening, and of course eating. These will normally subside after a few days, however some will require a visit to the dentist or Oral Surgeons for cleaning and a course of antibiotics and painkillers. Subsequently the teeth might require removal. Since most of wisdom teeth, mainly the lower, are impacted, removal means a minor oral surgical procedure."

Several dental surgeons managed my gum and root canal problems until more than 14 years ago when I visited TP. That was a turning point: since then I have been a regular patient of Dr Tony Tong at TP for my scaling and other dental work—very professional, efficient, courteous and caring. Will continue with them for a long time to come. Keep up, TP!

I have been on my braces journey with Dr Hwang for almost 4 month. Look back when I first entered into the TP dental on 28th November 2018, I was very concerned and scared and honestly I was so unprepared when I visited her. After 4 hours, I ended up wearing ceramic braces without my four teeth which has been removed by the doctor. i felt nothing but grateful for the professionalism and patience they have shown. I was recommended to Dr Hwang by my sister who had finished her braces four five years ago with Dr Hwang, and her teeth are still beautiful and perfect. Dr Hwang and her team are truly amazing. I would recommend to everyone who wishes to have a trustworthy diagnosis with her teeth.

Dr Ngan was a very patient and skilled Dental Surgeon. I would recommend him to the many patients that TP dental receives everyday. He has done for me, a wisdom tooth extraction, my permanent metal retainer and many of my washes. Without fail, he would help and do the surgery with a smile. He is the reason I am willing to go back to TP dental.

Had my amalgam removed by Dr Gan, who comes highly recommended to me by a friend. Dr Gan is the only dentist in Singapore who is able to remove my amalgams safely. She is professional and caring and I appreciate her strict attitude and instructions when administering some of the protocols before my treatment. I could tell it was important that my health was in check before the treatment was done. No other dentists has ever paid so much attention to my overall health and explained so much of how my dental health attributes to a my health problems. It opened my eyes to holistic dentistry and explains a lot of the issues I am facing. My amalgams were safely removed and I thank the Dr Gan and team for their patience and knowledge and for risking their health while performing this treatment for myself and other clients. Am recommending my boyfriend to visit Dr Gan for sure!

This is probably one of the more professional dental clinics I've been to, and it's surprisingly reasonably priced seeing how they're situated in the heart of Orchard area. I got my teeth cleaned as part of my regular maintenance, and it costed about $140 all inclusive. With x-ray and stuff, I paid about $400+, but it's all very transparently told to you what's wrong and how to fix them. I personally feel at ease coming to this clinic, like many others who look like regulars.
