Aging is inevitable. Many people that treat aging symptoms (e.g.: wrinkles) opt for anti aging skin care products such as eye cream, face cream, etc. Most of these products are expensive, which is why we rather choose natural ways to slow down conditions associated with aging.
Generally, functional medicine doctors will suggest these to patients: Lifestyle modification Nutritional planning Body and mind regeneration
Everyone experiences aging in a different way and at a different point of time in their lives. Due to different body and mind composition, consultation is important in order to determine the best treatment for anti-aging.
Anti-aging treatments are one of the top procedures done in the medical aesthetics field.
From aging problems like wrinkles and age spots to skin texture problems like sagging skin and large pores, there are different treatments done by verified aesthetic doctors for specific conditions.
Some examples include laser treatments for spot and pigmentation removal, ultrasound treatments for wrinkle reduction and skin tightening, or facelifts to give you a more youthful appearance.
The most common aging symptom, sagging skin, can be treated effectively via cosmetic surgeries.
Fat transfer can help you remove or insert fat into your skin areas that need firming the tightening, while facelifts can help tighten your skin and give you a more youthful appearance as a whole.
Sometimes we need to refresh and rejuvenate our skin that is constantly exposed to harmful conditions like ultraviolet radiations and pollution, causing a loss of moisture and elasticity for your skin. A laser skin resurfacing treatment can help you get rid of the blemishes on your skin, depending on your decision made with the doctor on what to treat, resulting in healthy, glowing skin.
During our aging process, our skin cells begin to lose moisture and less collagen is produced in our skin, causing aging signs, especially wrinkles. Treatments for wrinkles, either surgical or non-surgical options, help you get rid of your wrinkles, and you can discuss with your doctor to have other effect like skin tightening done, too.
Mesotherapy is the injection of medications or nutrients to aid in hair growth to treat hair loss. During a mesotherapy treatment, vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and other active substances are injected directly into the third layer of our skin where our blood vessels are, activating the dormant (inactive) hair follicles and stimulate the scalp to aid with hair growth.
Did you know that your skin is actually constantly exposed to harmful conditions like ultraviolet radiations and pollution, causing a loss of moisture and elasticity for your skin? Skin rejuvenation helps to refresh your facial skin and get rid of dead cells and any particles inhibiting healthy skin growth. There are several different technologies used in facial rejuvenation which you can choose with your doctor's advice.
Dermal fillers are usually made of hyaluronic acid, which is a substance naturally present in our body. Hence, it is usually safe and compatible when injected into our body. Dermal fillers are injected into our face for restoration, enhancement, or facial refinement. Usually, dermal filler injections are used to treat wrinkles, skin rehydration, facial volume, and also nose, chin and lip augmentation.
Liposuction can help you to remove stubborn fats from specific parts of your body effectively by sucking out excess fat cells from your body, giving you a slimmer, younger look. Some common areas where liposuction is done are thighs, hips, buttocks, tummy, waist, arms, and the back. The fats in these areas can be removed together or separately. During the procedure, a small incision will be made at the area where you wish the fats be removed, then a small tube is fitted through the skin to suck out unwanted fat cells. Liposuction is usually done on an outpatient basis but may also require overnight stay for larger scale liposuctions.
Do you wish to change a particular feature or reshape any parts of your face? Be it your cheeks, chin, jaw, or even to create dimples - you can consider getting a face reshaping treatment to achieve your ideal face shape you have always wanted! There are both surgical and non-surgical treatment options.
Do you have an implant that you wish to be removed? Sometimes our implants may not turn out the way we expected it to do, and an implant removal procedure may be required.
Fat transfer is the procedure where fats from one part of your body is removed and transferred to another part of your body. Some common transfers done are taking fats from the tummy, hips or thighs and transferring them to the breasts, face or buttocks. During the treatment, the doctor first determines where the fats will be harvested from, usually surgically. The harvested fats are then processed (centrifuged) and then injected into the areas where you wish the fats are transferred to.
Do you have droopy eyelids, wrinkles around your eyes, or saggy and loose skin around your eyelids? There are several different types of eyelid treatments, for different purposes, including surgical and non-surgical options. After you identify your problem and your desired outcome with your doctor, you can choose which treatment option is the best suit for you.
Epicanthoplasty is a surgical procedure to make eyes appear larger by removing what is known as the 'Mongolian fold', the inclining end of the upper eyelid. Epicanthoplasty is sometimes done together with double eyelid surgery.
Eyelid surgery, also known as blepharoplasty, is usually done to remove excess skin and fat from around your eyes for a more youthful look and more alert eyes. You can choose to do upper eyelid surgery, lower eyelid surgery, or both. In upper eyelid surgery, the doctor marks individual lines on the creases of your eyelids to keep the scars as invisible as possible along your natural eye folds. When the incision is made, excess fats are removed or repositioned, and loose muscle and skin are removed, to create a double eyelid shape. After that, some fine sutures are used to close the incisions, so that the visibility of any scar is minimised. In lower eyelid surgery, the doctor makes an incision along your eyelash line and your smile creases on your lower eyelid. Then, excess fat, muscle, and skin are trimmed away before the incision is closed with fine sutures to minimise the visibility of scar.
Double eyelid treatments are one of the top sought-after treatments these days, being especially popular in Asian countries. There are options for double eyelid surgery, but also non-surgical options. You can discuss with your doctor to see which type of treatment is more suitable for you to achieve your desired outcome. Double eyelid treatment is also used to address aging problems that cause a loss of skin elasticity around the eyes. This includes wrinkles, bulges, or saggy skin around the eyes.
Double eyelid surgery generally involves surgical removal or redistribution of the skin, muscle and fat tissues around the eyes, creating a crease (or more commonly known as double eyelids). Double eyelid surgery usually covers both upper and lower eyelids simultaneously, targeting the skin, muscle and fat tissues around the eye. The process involves the reshaping of upper or lower eyelids by the removal or repositioning of excess tissue as well as by reinforcement of the surrounding muscles and tendons. The procedure starts with an external surgical incision along the natural skin lines of your upper and lower eyelids, which creases and then hides the surgical scars from view. After that, some removal or redistribution of the skin, muscle and fat tissues around the eyes is done, creating a crease (or more commonly known as double eyelids). The double eyelid surgery procedure typically takes a couple of hours (or less, depending on the method used and the area involved). Immediately after the surgery, you may be given sterile bandages to cover the surgical area. But if the surgical wound isn’t big, you don’t have to cover your eyes, and you may be given some ointment to prevent dryness on the eye area.
When the tissues and muscles around your eyes weaken and loosen during the aging process, you may notice eye bags developing under your eyes. However, eye bag cream or eye bag removal products are only effective as preventive care, and cannot effectively treat eye bags after they have developed. There are different types of treatment for getting rid of eye bags, like PRP or dermal fillers. Discuss with your doctor to decide on which is the most suitable treatment for your condition.

However, eye bag cream or eye bag removal products are only effective as preventive care, and cannot effectively treat eye bags after they have developed. Eye bag surgery is the surgical option to get rid of your eye bags. This usually involves lower eyelid blepharoplasty, or lower eyelid surgery, to remove the excess fats on your lower eyelid area to remove the eyebags.

Are you dissatisfied with the shape of your nose? Regardless of if you want a sharper nose, a higher one, a smaller one, or a more refined shape, medical aesthetics technology today can help you with your nose reshaping for you to achieve your desired appearance. There are both surgical and non-surgical options for nose reshaping, depending on your preference and expectations. You can discuss with your doctor in further in detail on which treatment is more suitable for you.
Alarplasty addresses the alar section on your nose where the nostrils become rounded from the tip and extending toward the cheek. Alarplasty focuses more on changing the width of the nostrils, so your nose structure isn't affected too much.
Nose surgery, or rhinoplasty is a cosmetic surgical procedure done to improve the shape, size or angle of a nose, to fit it into a more desirable proportion with the rest of your face. Sometimes, rhinoplasty is also done to correct structural problems with the nose that cause chronic congestion and breathing problems. Rhinoplasty usually involves the sculpting of bone and cartilage on the nose. Bones and cartilage may be removed, or tissues may be added in, all to enhance the shape of your nose. In Asia, the common trend is to fix our nose into a longer shape, and to refine our nose tip. Rhinoplasty can be done to: -To make your nose smaller (nose reduction) -To make your nose larger (nose augmentation) -To change your nose shape -To change the angle between the nose and top lip -To correct structural problems with the nose that cause chronic congestion and breathing problems -To repair deformities from an injury -To repair a birth defect
A basic nose shaping treatment starts with injecting dermal fillers into the nose to make a smoother line visible and to augment or change the nose shape from the base of the nose to the tip. After that, this procedure can be enhanced using thread lift for a more refined nose shape, usually used to heighten the nose bridge and enhance the nose tip. Thread lifts are often done together with face lifts, as they apply the same concept and material.
Lip reduction is the cosmetic procedure to improve the shape and appearance of your lips by reducing its size and thickness. You can discuss with your doctor to see which treatment suits you best to achieve your desired results.
Chin implants are useful for patients with short or small chin, and who wish to have sharper and more refined chin shape. Implants can be done surgically or through injectable fillers.
Do you have an implant that you wish to be removed? Sometimes our implants may not turn out the way we expected it to do, and an implant removal procedure may be required.
As we age, our skin becomes loose and the fats are not held together as firmly as they once were. Having loose skin around the neck and under the chin can give us a tired, old appearance. Neck liposuction can help to treat double chin, refine the jawline and bring balance to the facial features. It is also common to combine neck liposuction with chin augmentation or rhinoplasty to enhance facial contouring. During a liposuction procedure, a small incision will be made on your neck area, then a small tube is fitted through the skin to suck out unwanted fat cells. Liposuction is usually done on an outpatient basis.
Otoplasty is a cosmetic surgical procedure for the ears, done to correct protruding or large ears and move them inwards to be closer to the head. During the procedure, the surgeon makes an incision in the back of your ears to expose the ear cartilage. After reshaping, adding, or removing structural ear elements to achieve your desired results, the incision opening is sutured back. Because of the incision position and area, there is usually little or no visible scarring. Otoplasty is also done to correct large earlobes, shell ear or lop ear. Usually requires 1 night in the hospital, or in some cases can be done on an outpatient basis.
Unlike usual liposuction procedures, Vaser liposuction uses ultrasound waves to break up the fat cells to remove unwanted or excess fat from your body. Vaser liposuction can also target specific areas of fat in the body, so the process leaves other tissues intact and makes the muscles appear more defined. During a Vaser Liposuction, thin probes are inserted into the target treatment area through tiny incisions. These probes then transmite the ultrasound energy to break up and liquify the fat cells. After that, the liquified fats are removed from your body through a gentle suction. The results of Vaser liposuction can be seen immediately after treatment but optimal results can be seen after 3 to 4 months. Vaser liposuction is usually done on an outpatient basis.
Implants are placed behind the breast tissue or beneath chest muscles to enlarge the size, enhance the shape, and increase the fullness of the breast. For breast implants, an overnight stay in the clinic or hospital is usually required.
Gynaecomastia is a condition where male breasts are abnormally large, usually due to hormones or other conditions affecting the growth of excess breast tissue. Gynaecomastia may occur during puberty in boys and usually disappear on its own in time. However, in some cases, these male breasts do not disappear and a treatment is required. Gynaecomastia surgery is a surgical procedure to restore the male breast to its normal shape and sice, usually involving either liposuction or excision, or both, to remove unwanted fats from the male breast. Gynaecomastia surgery is usually done on an outpatient basis but an overnight stay in the clinic or hospital may be required in some cases.
Do you wish to enhance the size, shape or fullness of your breast? Sometimes, we can also experience breast volume loss due to loose skin via aging, pregnancy or weight loss. There are different methods and procedures that can help you in changing your breast size and shape.

An inverted nipple is a nipple that is not protruding, but is "pulled" inwards instead. There are different causes of inverted nipples, and can be treated by surgical correction to restore the nipple to a normalprotruding position. During the inverted nipple surgery, the surgeon makes small incisions around the nipple to release any tissue bands pulling the nipple inwards. Sutures are then placed in to maintain the nipple in the corrected position. Sometimes, tissue grafting may also be needed to be implanted at the base of the nipple. Inverted nipple surgery is usually done on an outpatient basis.
Areola reduction is a procedure done to decrease the area of the areola (the darker area surrounding the nipple). The surgeon usually makes small incisions on the areola to remove excess tissues and reshape the areola, and in some cases, the nipple as well. Areola reduction is also commonly done alongside nipple reduction, breast augmentation, breast lift or breast reduction procedures. Areola reduction is usually done on an outpatient basis.

Generally, hair loss is the loss of hair from the scalp (on our head) or other body parts. Hair loss can include excessive shedding, hair thinning, receding hairline, patchy bald spots, or excessively oily or dry scalp. Hair loss differs between men and women, and can also be different according to region and race (a topic still under research!).
Age is certainly a factor, though not the ultimate one. Hair loss is more likely to affect males, elder people, and highly stressed individual. Fewer than 45% of women go through their lives without any hair loss problem at all, while 50% of men have been found to have mild hair loss, and 75% with moderate to severe hair loss.
Hair loss in men is more of an expectancy compared to that for women. By the age of 80 years, 80% of men are affected by hair loss. Besides, 25% of men start showing hair loss signs as early as in their 20s!
For women, about ⅓ of women experience hair loss at some point in their lives, and ⅔ women experience hair loss after menopause. However, hair fall is actually extremely normal for both women and man. Losing up to 250 strands of hair when you shampoo is normal for women with long hair!
Aging is no doubt the most common cause of hair loss. However, did you know that you aren’t actually ‘losing hair’, but more on reduced hair growth during old age? On average, our hair grows up to 1.5 inches every month. The process of aging slows down the hair growth (which is unavoidable). So when your hair growth is slower than your hair fall, you start to notice less hair on your head.
However, you may want to see a specialist when you experience the following conditions: Rapid hair loss Hair loss accompanied by itching, skin irritation, pain etc. Hair loss happens after consuming certain foods or medication
Hair loss is a common longstanding problem for both men and women, albeit in different forms across gender. Hair loss can be caused by aging, genetics, diet, hormones, or skin infections and medications.
There are several types of hair loss treatment that can be done for you to regain a head full of hair, including Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE), Platelet-rich Plasma (PRP) treatment, mesotherapy, hair regrowth injections, and others.
Discuss with your doctor to see which treatment suits your condition best to help you achieve your desired results.
Sometimes, hair loss can be caused by scalp infections like fungal infections or skin disorders. These can usually be treated with medicines or medical treatments, allowing hair to grow back after treatment.
Some medications or treatments can also lead to hair loss, especially those involving cancer (chemotherapy and radiotherapy), diabetes, arthritis, heart disease, or high blood pressure. Hormonal medication, birth control pills, steroids and acne medications affect our hormonal balance and may also lead to hair loss.
Treatments are aplenty these days for hair loss, so even though your hereditary hair loss can be unavoidable, it is certainly treatable. From topical medicines to treatments and procedures, find your preferred treatment at your preferred clinic, here.
If you have no more hair follicles on your scalp, it means that you have scarring alopecia, or also known as a stable alopecia.
In this case, medications or other external treatments wouldn't be effective as it be able to stimulate anymore hair growth our of the hair follicles which aren't present anymore.
So hair transplant may be needed, where the cosmetic surgeon takes the hair roots from other parts of your body (without hair loss problems) and transplant them onto your scalp.

There are different types of pigmentation on our skin, including freckles, melasma, sunspots, keratosis and others. Knowing which type of pigmentation you have is important in getting the right treatment for it. Usually, your doctor will be able to determine the type of pigmentation you have, and provide treatments like laser treatments to remove the pigmentations from your skin.
Chemical peels are acids that are applied on the skin to cause peeling. This process stimulates the skin cells to regenerate a smooth skin surface. Chemical peeling is a simple procedure which involves the doctor dropping acid or medicinal chemicals on the target area to promote skin restoration. Chemical peel is used in treating acne, acne scars, pigmentation and several other skin treatments.
Age spots, or also known as liver spots, are small dark areas on your skin, common in adults older than the age of 50. After consulting with the doctor and identifying the type of age spots, laser treatments can be used to get rid of these age spots, giving you clear, spot-free skin. Age spots are usually treated via laser treatments, using laser beams emitted into the layers of the skin to remove the pigmentation.

A laser skin resurfacing treatment can help you get rid of the blemishes on your skin, depending on your decision made with the doctor on what to treat, resulting in healthy, glowing skin.
Acne is a skin condition caused by bacteria in the skin. Sometimes hormones can increase skin sensitivity, causing our skin to get inflammed with acne easily at the presence of bacteria, which is why acne is common among teenagers going through puberty.

Sometimes, hair loss can be caused by scalp infections like fungal infections or skin disorders. These can usually be treated with medicines or medical treatments, allowing hair to grow back after treatment.

Hormonal medication, birth control pills, steroids and acne medications affect our hormonal balance and may also lead to hair loss.
