Back Pain Treatment

Backache, or back pain, is not a disease, but an indicator to a more serious problem. It can result from a problem with either ligaments, muscles, nerves, or the bone that make up the spine, or even organs like the kidney. Mostly, the cause of back pain is overworking, which is why people often opt to look for a chiropractor, acupunture practitioner, message therapist. Other alternatives that functional medicine practice offers is to start with your body and your mind. Since pain is a sensory and emotional experience, our thoughts, feelings, and emotions (e.g.: from stress) can actually contribute to the feeling of "pain". Doctors may suggest you to:Undergo an elimination dietExerciseGet plenty of restManage stressIf you're considering using alternative medicine for back pain, talk with your doctor first. It's important to note that self-treating with alternative medicine and avoiding or delaying standard care may be harmful to your health.

Pregnancy Back Pain Treatment

Pregnancy Back Pain Treatment

It is normal to experience back pain during pregnancy. This happens because during your pregnancy, your body produces a hormone called relaxin that relaxes your pelvic area and loosens the pelvic joints to prepare for the childbirth process. However, this same hormone also causes the ligaments that support your spine and backbone to loosen and relax, causing instability and pain. You can let your doctor check on your back pain problem so that your doctor can advise you on the best treatment, whether it is a medical treatment or a daily practice for your back pain relieft.

When i began treatment at Benphysion, I was in a lot of pain with my neck. I have also seek treatments at few other Physiotherapy centres . But they didn't help me much until I came to Benphysio. The 1st treatment they gave me a instant relief of my neck stiffness. And after another few treatments, I have improved a great deal. I am so glad that I came to Benphysio. And thanks to Wei Wang , my physiotherapist , he taught me a lot of home exercises too.

I've had right shoulder impingement for about one year and a half, due to my nature of work. I bore with the discomfort and pain for so long until I've decided to visit a physiotherapist and I found some good reviews of Ben Physio on google. My current therapist is Pei Shan; the first time I consulted her, she was very quick and great in assessing my problem. She asked about my lifestyle, about how my pain worsened before this, etc. Every time I see her I gain more confidence in healing, she really helped me a lot in understanding the root of my issue and I was given home exercises to practice hourly in order to heal faster. I followed the exercises along with seeing her 6 times within 2 months. After some time, I also developed Carpal Tunnel Syndrome because it's connected to my shoulder issue, plus I use my mouse and laptop a lot for work. So she helped me with that too and I can say now that the pain is almost not there, I've been feeling better by following her advice also. Now, the range of my shoulder is very much improved, my posture is also improving. I'm only going to start seeing her once monthly from now on just to maintain my progress. If you're thinking of going to Benphysio, I recommend you do that and remember to follow the home exercises given cause they will really help! Thank you Pei Shan 💗 and Benphysio, I'm slowly but surely regaining my body back! :)

I was diagnosed with chondral lesions on my left kneecap. I had severe wear and tear of my meniscus and cartilage and underwent keyhole surgery. Thereafter, I was looking for a good physiotherapist to get me back on my feet and my research led me to Benphysio. Under physiotherapist Pei Shan’s professional care and guidance, I’m making good progress and gaining my confidence back. She took lots of initiative to understand my challenges and worked out a strategic plan to strengthen and mobilise my knee. I can’t wait to resume some of my favourite sporting activities once I complete my physio sessions in due course. I strongly recommend Pei Shan and Benphysio for your physiotherapy needs.

I went to Benphysio for my knee ache issue when I was running. Was treated by two therapists-Pui Yin and then now, Pei Shan, across 7 sessions due to my change of schedule between weekends and weekdays. Though I was initially disappointed at how the case being handed over, it turned out that the replaced therapist could eventually comprehend my issue well with her professional assessments. Pui Yin had helped me attend to the major symptoms of knee cramp with conventional "urut" complement with scientific explanation of the muscles she were working on for me; while Pei Shan had helped me to realize that a symptomatic pain might be linked to muscles of other body parts e.g. butt and thigh in my case, where she enhanced it with the "urut" and prescribed simple exercise for me to work on at home. Their patient listening and checking-in from treatment to treatment, as well as, their scientific explanation makes me more confident that I can recover and also makes me more motivated to continue the exercises to maintain my condition after treatment. Nevertheless, I really wish the parking fee here can be cheaper and treatment can be made more affordable.

I am very satisfied with the services rendered by Ben and team. Treatment for my legs and back started with a diagnose by Ben that provided clarity on the ‘what’ and ‘why’. For me this a critical step for any patients to firstly understand their body and the issues before proceeding with any treatment. I was able to grasp and accept the diagnoses. The following treatments was done excellently by Ben and Alfonsa. They are a well trained physiotherapists and care for us to cure! I learn so much about my body from them. And importantly for me; a good therapist will give ‘homework’ to patient in term of the right way to stretch/exercise at home - and thats what this centre help me with. Thanks everyone at Oval Damansara 🙏🏻👍

Since my acl ruptured, I've been having some pain at the back of my knee. Pei Shan, my therapist managed to diagnosed and pin point on what is needed to be improved. To my surprise, the problem wasn't solely on my knee but also a weak core and other muscles which are compensating for my injury. I have recovered and I'm now confidently doing some light exercises and non contact sports. Highly recommended!

I have been suffering from shoulder pain a year ago. Whenever I lifted my hand, I started to feel pain and even occasionally had hand numbness. I have seen many different doctors, Chinese medicine, Chiro and physiotherapy, some can relieve the pain a little, but the problem is still not solved. In November of this year, I met BenPhysio through a friend's introduction, and she recommended her physical therapist PuiYin to me. PuiYin is a very friendly physical therapist with rich clinical experience. Before the treatment, she explained to me the condition and main cause of my shoulder pain in detail, which gave me a chance to understand my body better. BenPhysio focuses on manual therapy. I still remember the first session, my shoulder pain and hand numbness have been significantly reduced. Now I no longer face the problems of shoulder pain and hand numbness. PuiYin also taught me some suitable exercises for me to do at home. Thank you PuiYin and BenPhysio! I was recommended by my good friend Debora. Her mom was under Ben Physio treatment after a fall and was recovering pretty well. My dear wife have intense pain on her neck and numbness in the fingersof one hand. This is the 2nd treatment and she found great relief. The different in Ben's approaches is quite different as he explain to us the root of the problem and educate my wife on the management and how she can do daily exercise to manage the pain in a long term basis. Beside, they are very friendly. I highly recommend Ben Physio.
