Home Remedies for Eye Bags

Eye bags (or bags under eyes) refer to mild swelling or puffiness under the eyes. This page discusses how to possibly solve your eye bags problem on your own.

Here are some tips that may help you reduce or even remove your eye bags:

  1. Make sure that you have enough sleep at night. Not getting enough sleep may trigger/worsen eye bags. 7-8 hours of sleep at night should be about right for most adults.
  2. Use a cool compress around the eyes while sitting up. Wet a clean cloth with cool water and apply it to your eye bags with mild pressure for a couple of minutes.
  3. Sleeping with your head slightly raised (use extra pillows if necessary) can help prevent fluids from accumulating around your eyes while you are sleeping.
  4. If your eye bags are actually allergic reactions, avoid the allergens when possible. Allergy medications may also help.
