Back Pain Treatment

Backache, or back pain, is not a disease, but an indicator to a more serious problem. It can result from a problem with either ligaments, muscles, nerves, or the bone that make up the spine, or even organs like the kidney. Mostly, the cause of back pain is overworking, which is why people often opt to look for a chiropractor, acupunture practitioner, message therapist. Other alternatives that functional medicine practice offers is to start with your body and your mind. Since pain is a sensory and emotional experience, our thoughts, feelings, and emotions (e.g.: from stress) can actually contribute to the feeling of "pain". Doctors may suggest you to:Undergo an elimination dietExerciseGet plenty of restManage stressIf you're considering using alternative medicine for back pain, talk with your doctor first. It's important to note that self-treating with alternative medicine and avoiding or delaying standard care may be harmful to your health.

Pregnancy Back Pain Treatment

It is normal to experience back pain during pregnancy. This happens because during your pregnancy, your body produces a hormone called relaxin that relaxes your pelvic area and loosens the pelvic joints to prepare for the childbirth process. However, this same hormone also causes the ligaments that support your spine and backbone to loosen and relax, causing instability and pain. You can let your doctor check on your back pain problem so that your doctor can advise you on the best treatment, whether it is a medical treatment or a daily practice for your back pain relieft.

At Integrative Acupuncture, we believe that functional medicine is the cornerstone of restoring good health, as it focuses on treating the patient, finding the root cause of the disease. In this case, consultation with your doctor or acupuncture practitioner is the most important since they will address your medical problems and give the best treatment according to your health.

Acid Reflux Treatment

Acid Reflux Treatment

Do you always experience heartburn specifically at night or in the morning? Acid reflux is also known as heartburn. It is a condition where a warm and burning sensation is felt typically in the regions below the throat all the way to the region below the chest bone. This happens when stomach acid rises to the throat or mouth and leave a sour or bitter aftertaste. Acid reflux can usually be treated with medications but needs to be treated early, or the frequent acid production may damage the throat.

Heartburn/Gastro Esophageal Reflux Disease (GERD) Diagnosis & Treatment

GERD is a continuation from an untreated acid reflux. Some of GERD symptoms are: Heartburn or burning feeling in the chest Chest pain Regurgitation of food or sour liquid Sensation of a lump in your throat Functional medicine focuses on treating the root cause of a disease. The treatment focuses on the person rather than the disease, therefore, upon consultation with your doctor, you may be suggested to: Eat small and regular meals Avoid certain foods Avoid eating right before bed Reduce body weight Stop smoking Despite the list, the right treatment depends on consultation with your doctor to determine the best treatment for you, which is prescribed based on your own body conditions.

I am very disappointed with my 1st treatment as the physiotherapist only stroke my leg too soft. He was stroking my leg for 45mins,where i didn't any difference. My pain didn't relieved at all. It was such a bad experience as i felt like i have wasted my rm145 for that session. The 2nd treatment onwards, i felt good progress in managing the pain.

At first, I was hesitant to try this place due to my past experiences with the physiotherapy team at SJMC. However, after seeing the positive reviews, I decided to give it a try. My first impression was already very positive when Ms. Shan took the time to thoroughly review my MRI report from SJMC, explaining each detail. She then performed an assessment and immediately introduced me to a tailored set of exercises and treatments to address my mild scoliosis and the annular tear in my lumbar spine, something I hadn’t even known I had. What really stood out was how the spine surgeon at SJMC had never mentioned the annular tear. Instead, I was simply prescribed muscle relaxants and painkillers and told to continue with my normal activities, without any warning about the potential severity of my condition. Ms. Shan, on the other hand, explained that pushing through with intense physical activities could make the tear worse and advised me to take things slow, day by day, and avoid certain activities. At SJMC, the focus was purely on using machines during my sessions, and when I asked about exercises to strengthen my back, they simply told me to consult with the doctor. Ms. Shan has been amazing—knowledgeable, caring, and genuinely committed to my recovery. After just four sessions, I’ve stopped relying on painkillers and muscle relaxants and am following her advice and exercises closely. What I really appreciate about this place is the consistency. Each patient is assigned a dedicated physiotherapist, which provides a personal touch that I never experienced at SJMC, where I saw different therapists every time with no real focus on my individual progress. For me, recovery begins with the energy and care of the physiotherapist, and the experience here has been nothing short of fantastic. I still have many more sessions ahead, but I’m confident that with the dedicated care of this wonderful physiotherapist, I will recover from this challenging condition.

I injured my groin (adductor muscle). My healing was really slow. I decided to visit Your Physio and was assigned to Aqil. He is attentive, patient and knowledgeable. 2 days after treatment, i noticed improvement on my mobility and the bruise slowly subsided. With the exercises given, my groin improved after about 3 weeks. Highly recommended!

Feeling touched that my left leg, which is feeling extremely uncomfortable like a rubber being stretched at its max from hip till feet for few weeks, finally able to relax after just 2 sessions with my sport massager Nayli. On the 4th session, my left leg issue is completely gone. Magic! Frankly speaking, though Nayli is still young and help me with sport massage, I feel Nayli like a physiotherapist who listens carefully about my problems, asks questions to assess my conditions, then provides on-the-point message to my left leg problem and lastly teaches me the appropriate stretchings I could do to further help with my left leg problem. On my 6th session, I decided not to go with left leg massage anymore since the condition had far improved. I told Naili I would like to get a sport massage on my lower right back that I injured 4years ago in my pregnancy 3rd trimester, it had since haunted me. Another magic! She started with left body massage for quite some time which I felt puzzled at first. When the moment she pushed sideways on my left waist, magic immediately happened, the soreness that I felt for so long gone with a snap of finger. Wow! Later, when she pushed sideways on my right waist, I felt a pain on a muscle, that is the root cause to my problem. I need to do more stretching on that muscle. I believed that in maybe 1-2 sessions with Nayli, my lower right back problem will go away. Thank you Nayli for the magical hand, I was deeply impressed and grateful. The uncomfortableness that haunted me for so long can finally be gone.

I’ve been dealing with some pretty uncomfortable back pain, especially when I bend down. After a week of trying to tough it out, I finally decided to try physiotherapy for the first time earlier this week. I was seen by Viva, and she did a great job explaining each step she took to help relieve the pain. The very next day, I noticed I could sit and stand up without using my upper body for support, and I was able to bend a little more easily. I had my second session today, and it was just as helpful. Viva showed me some exercises and stretches to help loosen up my muscles and build up my core strength. Overall, the clinic has a really friendly atmosphere, and everyone there is super approachable. I’m looking forward to my next session in two weeks.

I started seeing Gan for treatment of my muscle torn on my left shoulder, and I can’t recommend him highly enough. From the very first session, he took the time to thoroughly assess my condition and tailor a treatment plan specifically for me. His expertise and approach have made a world of difference in managing my pain. The exercises he provided for me to do at home have been incredibly effective, and I’ve seen significant improvement in my mobility and comfort. Gan is not just a skilled physiotherapist; he’s also compassionate and genuinely cares about his patients’ well-being. He explains everything in detail, ensuring that I understand the purpose behind each exercise and how it contributes to my recovery. The personalized attention he gives has made a challenging situation much more manageable. My daughter also went to Gan for her back pain, and she experienced remarkable improvement under his care. She felt heard and supported throughout her treatment, and like me, has benefited greatly from his expertise. Gan’s dedication and knowledge have made a significant impact on our health and quality of life. If you’re looking for a physiotherapist who truly makes a difference, I highly recommend Gan.

Those treatments do help a bit, but do not really fix my injury. After 2 sessions with Firdaus, I feel my shoulder blade can move better and the pain is reducing quite a lot. After third session, the pain is already gone. Firdaus recommended me to took another 3 sessions mainly focus on strengthening. After all 6 sessions with Firdaus, my shoulder blade is completely recovered. Initially visited Your Pyhsio Subang Jaya bcoz of a bicycle fall that resulted a shoulder injury and treated by Hambal & Firdaus. Hambal & Firdaus were able to pinpoint the injury I suffered and rendered appropriate treatments. After a few treatments I was able to get back to my bike and start riding (enthusiatic cyclist). Decided to continue treatment under Firdaus for a old elbow injury from my badminton playing days. Firdaus and I spent almost 3 months on a weekly basis to treat my elbow injury. It's not a complete heal but we are making positive progress. The improvement on my arm extension was also highlighted by my bike fitter when I visited him after spending 2 months with Firdaus. Overall I am satisfied with my physiotherapists, Firdaus. He has demostrate high level of professionalism throughout our treatment sessions, making sure I am comfortable and motivate me to practise exercises that are benefitial om my recovery. The center landscape & equpiments are well maintained, the staffs also demostrate good customer service every time i entered the center.
