Wisdom Tooth Extraction

Wisdom Tooth Extraction

"Wisdom tooth, as commonly known, is actually the third molar tooth. For most of us wisdom teeth are the last teeth in the mouth, usually erupted during the late teens or early 20's. For most of us wisdom teeth are either fully erupted, partially erupted or do not erupt at all. It is common to have some discomfort during eruption of wisdom teeth, epecially the lowers. The most common complaint is pain and swelling. This is normally followed by fever, difficulties in mouth opening, and of course eating. These will normally subside after a few days, however some will require a visit to the dentist or Oral Surgeons for cleaning and a course of antibiotics and painkillers. Subsequently the teeth might require removal. Since most of wisdom teeth, mainly the lower, are impacted, removal means a minor oral surgical procedure."

I have always procrastinated my visit to the dentist as I am always so fearful! Last week, I had my cleaning with Ms Jinna Chew & it has changed my opinion towards going for cleaning sessions! Jinna was so patient and gentle while doing the cleaning as she knew I was afraid and very tensed and constantly checked in with me while doing the cleaning to make sure I was doing ok! Also had my 3 wisdom teeth extraction with Dr Rebecca. I was so worried about the pain both during the extraction and during recovery but my fear was unfounded as Dr Rebecca and the nurses were so nice and reassuring! They definitely helped me settle my nerves quite a bit. And contrary to the scary stories I've heard about wisdom teeth extraction & the pain that accompanies it, I felt entirely no pain during the process and also during recovery. By the next morning, I was able to consume solid food with no difficulties. 10/10 recommend tooth angels as the preferred clinic to visit, especially for people who are afraid of dental visits like me :)

Had scaling and polishing and also, wisdom tooth surgery done at Tooth Angels. Overall a very good experience. Felt very well taken care of as a dental patient, with everything done in an orderly manner. The receptionists are friendly and helpful. The dentists and their assistants are caring and professional. Greatly appreciated the sms/whatsapp messages that they sent after the next day after surgery to check if I was recovering well. Would like to thank Dr Ho for the the scaling and polishing (thorough yet careful) and her consultation on my wisdom tooth extraction. Also, Dr Chia for the skilful and rather painless wisdom tooth surgery (Was rather tense and he was reassuring me all the way.) :)

The extraction itself was great. I was a nervous wreck that day, recalling my trauma years ago of having NDC dentists deal with my teeth and braces in the roughest possible way. As my wisdom tooth already started decaying and was sensitive, I was extremely worried. Dr Chia and the nice nurses had the ability to calm me down and explain the procedure & reassure me during the entire extraction. On the day itself when i came I waited a while in the operating room before Dr Chia arrived, as he has multiple appointments scheduled that day. The extraction went smoothly and I was given antibiotics, painkillers and pills for anti-swelling. There was no continued bleeding issues, or numbness after the anaesthetic wore off. only very slightly swollen but no one else could tell. The aftercare was a great experience as they responded very quickly to any queries I had, and their follow up appointments were scheduled promptly. Overall a pretty good experience, in part due to the confidence in the ability of the doctor and his team providing great service.

Here for wisdom tooth removal. Actual surgery was quite fast and smooth but waiting time was a bit long maybe due to doctor too busy with several patients. Doctor Chia was very patient and kind. Totally recommended.

Every single visit has been most comfortable and relaxed, with friendly receptionists and excellent professionalism and bedside manner by the hygienists/dentists. They are very attentive to your comfort and take care to explain each step clearly and informatively, making sure that you understand what’s happening and can make an informed choice about your treatment. Also, if you have a preferred practitioner, you can have follow-ups with the same one, which is nice and kinda more personalised. I’ve been here a few times for routine scaling appointments, since my office is just upstairs and it’s so convenient. My visits are on weekday afternoons. I get SMS reminders and can chat with staff whenever an appointment is nearing. Today I came in without an appointment, for a swollen gum (turned out to be food lodged behind my last molar), and they were able to accommodate me with only a brief wait. Prices are reasonable: $64.20 for my routine scaling and $40-60 for consultation. Today’s visit set me back $85 for consultation and cleaning under local anaesthesia (numbing gel then injection). Wait times in general before/after aren’t too long (maybe around 10-15 mins). Once in the treatment rooms, there are nice little touches like a blanket if you’re chilly, plus a lovely view of the Singapore River. Maybe there are fancier clinics out there, but this is just right for me. 10/10 would recommend, I’d come here even if my office wasn’t upstairs.

Overall great experience, had my bottom left wisdom tooth extraction on 3rd June. Was informed previously that the tooth to be removed was near the nerve however i was assured that everything is alright. Everything was well explained. Had a 2 hour plus extraction as the root was under the nerve. There was constant reassurance that everything is alright. The tooth was removed completely at the end with the nerve intact. Dr Chia and the staff were very friendly and professional.

Had my wisdom tooth extracted at Tooth Angels by Dr Chia. Dr Chia is extremely skilful, and the extraction was completed in no time. The entire surgery process was painless to the extent that I had no idea that the surgery has already started, which really shows how skilful he is, and how painless the entire process was. Even after the anesthesia wore off a couple of hours after the surgery, there was minimal discomfort and I did not have to take any additional painkillers. The staff were very caring and even dropped me a message to check on my condition the day after (and the subsequent day) after the surgery. All in all, it was a very pleasant experience and I would definitely recommend getting your wisdom tooth removed at Tooth Angels!

I always wanted to get my teeth done but was always afraid of going to the dentists. After a couple of research, I decided to book an appointment with Tooth Angels. I had my extraction and surgery done recently( 4 wisdom, 4 premolars) and surprising, I felt no pain or anything during the healing process. The procedure was also really fast and there wasn't anything to actually be afraid of. What I love most are the service and follow-ups. The people there are really friendly and professional! If you're ever thinking of getting your wisdom teeth done, then I think you should really consider them.

Best dental experience ever. I did my regular scaling and polishing here for the first time today and was so pleased with the level of service at every touch point. I arranged for my appointment via WhatsApp and the rep assisting with the replies was very helpful and prompt. They also send reminders, which is great because appointments are usually scheduled so in advance that we sometimes forget. The clinic staff were all very welcoming and patient with requests and questions I had. I enjoyed my experience with the dental hygienist (apologies, I didn't get her name) the most as she was so gentle and attentive to any discomforts I felt during the procedure. I've never felt so taken care of, it was really pleasant. Highly recommended for everyone, especially if you're like me, terrified of going for dental appointments!
