Back Pain Treatment

Backache, or back pain, is not a disease, but an indicator to a more serious problem. It can result from a problem with either ligaments, muscles, nerves, or the bone that make up the spine, or even organs like the kidney. Mostly, the cause of back pain is overworking, which is why people often opt to look for a chiropractor, acupunture practitioner, message therapist. Other alternatives that functional medicine practice offers is to start with your body and your mind. Since pain is a sensory and emotional experience, our thoughts, feelings, and emotions (e.g.: from stress) can actually contribute to the feeling of "pain". Doctors may suggest you to:Undergo an elimination dietExerciseGet plenty of restManage stressIf you're considering using alternative medicine for back pain, talk with your doctor first. It's important to note that self-treating with alternative medicine and avoiding or delaying standard care may be harmful to your health.

Pregnancy Back Pain Treatment

Pregnancy Back Pain Treatment

It is normal to experience back pain during pregnancy. This happens because during your pregnancy, your body produces a hormone called relaxin that relaxes your pelvic area and loosens the pelvic joints to prepare for the childbirth process. However, this same hormone also causes the ligaments that support your spine and backbone to loosen and relax, causing instability and pain. You can let your doctor check on your back pain problem so that your doctor can advise you on the best treatment, whether it is a medical treatment or a daily practice for your back pain relieft.

I had a sports injury on my left hand in mid/end sept. Went to see the first “sports clinic” which the doctor consulted me that I needed surgery on my left elbow and left shoulder which would cost about Rm40k plus. Luckily I decided to get second opinion which I googled and found, Physiowerkz. Make an urgent appointment as I could not even button my shirt as the pain is too exquisite. The physician, name Jing Hui, super friendly with great attitude and great professionalism with knowledgeable advice on handling my situation. An estimate of 6 or 7 visits to complete my journey to fully recovered and able to go back to gym again. Even after the first visit, I can see great improvement results on my left elbow. A huge breath of relief 😅 Thank you again, Jing Hui.

Jing Hui is brillant. Super friendly and explains everything that she is doing with the physiological reasons behind it. She ensures my problem tackled every session and follow up closely. Excellent and professional 👍🏻

I’m a runner and I had my ankle sprained. My physiotherapist, Mr Sung helped me a lot in reducing the pain with the ultrasound and sport massage. He knew where to tackle the pain and he did a good job overall. I knew what he was doing. He also provided some exercises during the recovery period for me to do at home and he explained a lot about the legs anatomy. The clinic also was clean and I felt safe coming in during the pandemic. I’ve recommended my friends with shin splint, knee and feet problem to Mr Sung. Now that I can run again makes me happy. So runners, tackle your pain properly and keep running! Don’t let running stop you from running.

After visiting some chiros for some nerf pain without success, I decided to try physiowerkz. My physio was Jing Hui and, during the 1st appointment, she spent lot of time to understand my problem, check my body and explain me the different treatment. I recently booked an assessment at Physiowerkz and my assigned therapist was Narmi. I have had lower back pain for many years and after my assessment, Narmi suggested a schedule of treatment, which consisted of twelve sessions over six weeks, based on my overall body posture as opposed to focusing solely on my lower back. I have just completed the recommended course and my lower back has never felt better, and consequently I will continue with a further course to focus on specific stretches and muscle development. The whole team is extremely professional from the moment you walk in the door to the appointment follow up, and I cannot speak highly enough of Narmi, whose professionalism and personality are both exceptional.

Ever since I started my running journey, this is my 3rd time seeking physio treatment at three different physio centre. What I find unique about this centre is the holistic approach that they access each client before providing the treatment. Unlike other physio centre that I encountered earlier where treatment will only apply to area that you highlighted. Also, you are not subject to seeking treatment from just one physiotherapist, they may refer you to another physiotherapist within the team based on your need and the physiotherapist specialty. I'm still seeking treatment from them and I hope they will be able to help me in my running journey. Highly recommended 👍
