Root Canal Treatment

Root Canal Treatment

"Root canal therapy is needed when the nerve of a tooth is affected by decay, infection or trauma. In order to save the tooth, the pulp (the living tissue inside the tooth), nerves, bacteria, and any decay are removed and the resulting space is filled with special, medicated, dental materials, which restore the tooth to its full function. Having a root canal done on a tooth is the treatment of choice to save a tooth that otherwise would die and have to be extracted."

After assessing your dental condition, the dentist makes a customised mouth guard according to your teeth, together with some bleaching gel. After applying a layer of bleaching gel, the mouth guard is inserted into your mouth and left for one or more hours for the bleaching to take effect. Composite Resin Fillings

Composite Resin Fillings

Composite (plastic) resins are matched to be the same colour as your teeth and therefore used where a natural appearance is desired. The ingredients are mixed and placed directly into the cavity, where they harden. Composites may not be the ideal material for large fillings as they may chip or wear over time. They can also become stained from coffee, tea or tobacco, and do not last as long as other types of fillings generally from three to 10 years.

Wisdom Tooth Extraction

Wisdom Tooth Extraction

"Wisdom tooth, as commonly known, is actually the third molar tooth. For most of us wisdom teeth are the last teeth in the mouth, usually erupted during the late teens or early 20's. For most of us wisdom teeth are either fully erupted, partially erupted or do not erupt at all. It is common to have some discomfort during eruption of wisdom teeth, epecially the lowers. The most common complaint is pain and swelling. This is normally followed by fever, difficulties in mouth opening, and of course eating. These will normally subside after a few days, however some will require a visit to the dentist or Oral Surgeons for cleaning and a course of antibiotics and painkillers. Subsequently the teeth might require removal. Since most of wisdom teeth, mainly the lower, are impacted, removal means a minor oral surgical procedure."

Easy to acess and no problem with parking space. Need to go for two visits for the root canal procedure. First and second visit, I need to have an x-ray image taken. They were quick. Result were immediate. Quite cheap for getting x-ray. Dental premise was very comfortable. Dentist is nice and gentle. As root canal procedure rated usually painful, my experience was acceptable, minimal pain and the usual discomfort kept to the bare minimum. I can give 5-star for service. 5-star for equipments.

The female doctor was very gentle, and the process of tooth extraction and filling was not too painful. The technique should be good. But there is one bad thing, that is, the doctor did not explain what to pay attention to after the tooth extraction? She did not say anything that I could not eat. It seemed that she was in a hurry. I wanted to fill more teeth and she said that there was not enough time and I had to wait until next time. I saw on the Internet that I could not rinse my mouth within 24 hours, but the doctor did not explain it. When I got home, the cotton was full of blood, so I had to change the cotton several times, and I also went to rinse my mouth several times. Before the tooth extraction, I asked how long it would take for me to eat normally after the tooth extraction? She said that I could eat normally in 3 days. But I looked online and it said that I could eat normally after 1-2 weeks, because I was going abroad in a week. If I could eat normally after 1-2 weeks, I would arrange to have the tooth extracted after returning from abroad. Now I don’t know what to do. Can’t eat anything when I go abroad? 😓 Because the doctor did not explain a lot clearly, the information I read online was different from what the doctor said. It made me even more uncomfortable~ • Original in Chinese, translated by Google

The first time I had a tooth pulled, the anesthesia was only 1%. It was very painful. ☺️☺️ The female doctor was so gentle. She helped me extract the tooth slowly, one needle at a time. I didn't feel anything. It was really great. • Original in Chinese, translated by Google

Dr Chong is a very passionate, knowledgeable and gentle dentist. She successfully changes my mindset and prejudice in visiting a dentist. In the early of Oct, I was experiencing swollen gums over all my FOUR wisdom teeth site. I was trembling and anxious b4 the surgery started. I was like , OMG, AM I GOING TO DIE? but, SURPRISINGLY, the whole wisdom teeth extraction process was PAINLESS! Dr Chong spent less than half an hour to extract both my wisdom teeth. ( I did 2 surgeries, 2 teeth at once). I didn't really feel any discomfort even after the anaesthetic effect was gone. Overall, it was a pleasant visit to Lau Dental Clinic. No more trauma to consult a dentist anymore! :)

Completed one of the great tasks of my life! Removed braces and whitened teeth. Really satisfied. Two years ago, because of mco, I also suffered a lot in my life. On impulse, I finally ran to tie my teeth. Today, two years later, I am truly grateful for the decision I made at the time. I went to this room by accident, and I didn't do any special investigation. Later I found out that many people go to this place. At that time, I felt very lucky to have met a very gentle doctor. Dr Lau is very attentive and amazing. Any questions will be answered (of course I am not a person with many questions). The doctor has been stable, kind and transparent throughout the two years. The nurses are also very gentle. After so many years of buck teeth, finally say goodbye! It turned out that you can be so beautiful! Hello new me • Original in Chinese, translated by Google

Did my minor oral surgery for my wisdom tooth with Dr Koh on 09/10/2022. Dr Koh did explained my root is J curved & root quite near to the nerve, might takes time to remove it & she’ll do it slowly as I quite nervous & anxious. Surprisingly the whole process only took 10 minutes to get done from the LA to sutures. Tbh, zero pain & zero discomfort during the surgery. I only feel something pressure but not pain. Today it’s been 2 days after my surgery, only my cheeks is swollen for 1 day. With the meds prescription, I’m all good, still no pain & zero discomfort. I can eat & chew like normal. Everything is good & fine. P/S- she will turn on your fav songs to distract you from your nervous! Highly recommend Dr Koh for your wisdom tooth surgery!

Went there for an invsialign treatment and was treated by Dr Lee Zi Thung. The price quoted was a few thousand dollars different from what she quoted my friend who when to signed up for the same invsialign treatment only weeks ago. Only upon questioning Dr Lee quoting my friend as a reference regarding the special pricing that she is agreeable to give the same pricing as well. Adding on to this invsialign treatment, there are a lot of hidden additional payments that I need to pay upon receiving the treatment despite having the treatment price locked and confirmed , with the payment paid. I am utterly disappointed and disgusted by the way a professional dentist handled my treatment. I will cautious any one who intend to take up an invsialign treatment with them to my experience that I have encountered. Will not recommend due to lots of hidden costs that are not mentioned initially when I signed up for the treatment. Price discrepancy for the same treatment is also another issue that I will not recommend this clinic.

Been visiting Dr. Koh regularly for my dental needs. Recently just had a root canal done. She always manages to diagnose my problems quickly and she is skillful and fast in doing the treatments. She is also very gentle, probably the most gentle dentist I've met. There was once I even almost fell asleep during treatment as it was totally painless! Throughout the whole treatment she was constantly reassuring me and checking to see if I was ok. That made me feel safe and comfortable. She is also always very patient in explaining the condition of my teeth, which i find very valuable. There was once, she even took a teeth model and some pictures to make sure I fully understand what was happening. She not only explained, but also took the effort to understand how I usually care for my teeth, so that she can give proper advice and correct anything that's wrong. Overall, I felt that Dr. Koh is not only skillful, patient, friendly and gentle, but she also cares for me. Will definitely continue to visit Dr. Koh for my dental needs, and highly recommend anyone who has dental needs to look for her. =)
