A facelift is the medical aesthetics procedure done to quite literally lift up the face, tighten our facial skin, and produce a more youthful appearance for our face.
During a facelift process, some of the procedures involved are the removing excess facial skin, tightening tissues, and reshaping the skin on your face and neck.
There are both surgical and non-surgical options (also known as Threadlift) for facelift. Surgical facelift requires 1-2 days of hospital admission, while a non-surgical one can be completed as an outpatient.
Treatment duration: 2-6 hours (surgical), about 1 hour (non-surgical)
You don't necessarily have to go under the knife for a facelift. With the latest treatments and technology, facelifts have become more and more common. If you have sagging or loose skin, a facelift can help you stimulate collagen production tighten your skin for a younger, fresher looking complexion.
In a non-surgical facelift, threads are used to pull the skin. These threads are absorbable by our body, and are the same type of threads as those used to suture cuts on our skin.
These threads pull our skin from the inside to an upwards and inwards direction to lift the skin, contour the face, and enhance facial features.
Facelift is also known as rhytidectomy, a cosmetic surgery procedure that helps give your face a more youthful appearance. What happens during a facelift/face reshaping procedure? Step 1: Anaesthesia Face reshaping is a long procedure, usually about 4 hours give or take. So general anaesthesia is the preferred choice because patients can't stay still for 4 hours under local anaesthesia. During this phase also, a variety of other procedures can be done to further enhance the outcome of the facelift or face reshaping procedure. These include: Facial implants Soft tissue augmentation to recontour your facial structure Resurfacing techniques to improve the tone and texture of your facial skin Wrinkle reduction via injections Step 2: The Incision Depending on the degree of change you'd like to see, your facelift choices include a traditional facelift, limited incision facelift, or a neck lift (this should be decided in the discussion phase pre-surgery!) A facelift incision often begins at the hairline at the temples of your head, and continues around your ears and ends in the lower scalp section. Fats may be sculpted or redistributed around your face, jowls and neck, and underlying tissues can also be repositioned. The deeper layers of your facial skin and muscles are also lifted. Your skin is then re-draped over the uplifted contours and excess skin is trimmed away. A second incision under the chin may be necessary to further improve an aging neck. Step 3: Closing the incisions Sutures or skin adhesives are used to close the incisions. Once these incisions are healed, the incision lines from the facelift procedure are well concealed within the hairline and in the natural contours of the face and ear, so no visible marks on your face! Step 4: See the results The visible improvements of a facelift or face reshaping procedure will appear as the swelling and bruising subside. Your final result should not only restore a more youthful and rested appearance, but also help you feel more confident about yourself!

Double eyelid surgery generally involves surgical removal or redistribution of the skin, muscle and fat tissues around the eyes, creating a crease (or more commonly known as double eyelids). Double eyelid surgery usually covers both upper and lower eyelids simultaneously, targeting the skin, muscle and fat tissues around the eye. The process involves the reshaping of upper or lower eyelids by the removal or repositioning of excess tissue as well as by reinforcement of the surrounding muscles and tendons. The procedure starts with an external surgical incision along the natural skin lines of your upper and lower eyelids, which creases and then hides the surgical scars from view. After that, some removal or redistribution of the skin, muscle and fat tissues around the eyes is done, creating a crease (or more commonly known as double eyelids). But if the surgical wound isn’t big, you don’t have to cover your eyes, and you may be given some ointment to prevent dryness on the eye area.

You can choose to do upper eyelid surgery, lower eyelid surgery, or both. In upper eyelid surgery, the doctor marks individual lines on the creases of your eyelids to keep the scars as invisible as possible along your natural eye folds. When the incision is made, excess fats are removed or repositioned, and loose muscle and skin are removed, to create a double eyelid shape. After that, some fine sutures are used to close the incisions, so that the visibility of any scar is minimised. In lower eyelid surgery, the doctor makes an incision along your eyelash line and your smile creases on your lower eyelid. Stretch marks appear due to a breakage in the middle layer of our skin, usually due to sudden weight gains, growths, hormones, or reaction to certain medications. Stretch marks are very common after pregnancy, too. C-sec Scars can be flat, hypertrophic or keloid. Hypertrophic scars grow within the scars, whereas keloid scars grow out from the original scar. The most effective treatment for stretchmarks is laser treatments. The laser creates micro injuries on the skin, allowing the delivery of PRP (platelet rich plasma) into the middle layer of the skin. PRP is made from the patient’s own platelets and fibrin, and play a role in enhancing the “growth factors” that activate and rejuvenate cells in our body. Both these steps stimulate the regeneration of collagen and improve the healing of stretch marks.

Once the breathing tract is unobstructed, snoring naturally decreases and sleep quality improves.
