A facelift is the medical aesthetics procedure done to quite literally lift up the face, tighten our facial skin, and produce a more youthful appearance for our face.
During a facelift process, some of the procedures involved are the removing excess facial skin, tightening tissues, and reshaping the skin on your face and neck.
There are both surgical and non-surgical options (also known as Threadlift) for facelift. Surgical facelift requires 1-2 days of hospital admission, while a non-surgical one can be completed as an outpatient.
Treatment duration: 2-6 hours (surgical), about 1 hour (non-surgical)
You don't necessarily have to go under the knife for a facelift. With the latest treatments and technology, facelifts have become more and more common. If you have sagging or loose skin, a facelift can help you stimulate collagen production tighten your skin for a younger, fresher looking complexion.
In a non-surgical facelift, threads are used to pull the skin. These threads are absorbable by our body, and are the same type of threads as those used to suture cuts on our skin.
These threads pull our skin from the inside to an upwards and inwards direction to lift the skin, contour the face, and enhance facial features.

The effects for Threadlift can last up to 18 months.

Aging is inevitable. Many people that treat aging symptoms (e.g.: wrinkles) opt for anti aging skin care products such as eye cream, face cream, etc. Most of these products are expensive, which is why we rather choose natural ways to slow down conditions associated with aging.
Generally, medical doctors will suggest these to patients: Lifestyle modification Nutritional planning Body and mind regeneration
Everyone experiences aging in a different way and at a different point of time in their lives. Due to different body and mind composition, consultation is important in order to determine the best treatment for anti-aging.
Anti-aging treatments are one of the top procedures done in the medical aesthetics field.
From aging problems like wrinkles and age spots to skin texture problems like sagging skin and large pores, there are different treatments done by verified aesthetic doctors for specific conditions.
Some examples include laser treatments for spot and pigmentation removal, ultrasound treatments for wrinkle reduction and skin tightening, or facelifts to give you a more youthful appearance.
Do you have loose or sagging skin? Skin lifting can help in rejuvenating your looks, giving you tighter, more youthful looking skin. Common treatment areas are the face, arms, and thighs. Have a discussion with your doctor on your expected results, and you can decide which treatment to have to achieve your desired look.
When the tissues and muscles around your eyes weaken and loosen during the aging process, you may notice eye bags developing under your eyes. However, eye bag cream or eye bag removal products are only effective as preventive care, and cannot effectively treat eye bags after they have developed. There are different types of treatment for getting rid of eye bags, like PRP or dermal fillers. Discuss with your doctor to decide on which is the most suitable treatment for your condition.

During our aging process, our skin cells begin to lose moisture and less collagen is produced in our skin, causing aging signs, especially wrinkles. Treatments for wrinkles, either surgical or non-surgical options, help you get rid of your wrinkles, and you can discuss with your doctor to have other effect like skin tightening done, too.
Sometimes we need to refresh and rejuvenate our skin that is constantly exposed to harmful conditions like ultraviolet radiations and pollution, causing a loss of moisture and elasticity for your skin. There are both surgical and non-surgical options for nose reshaping, depending on your preference and expectations. You can discuss with your doctor in further in detail on which treatment is more suitable for you.
Nose thread lift is a non-surgical option to enhance your nose shape. Like a facial threadlift, your nose can be lifted similarly for a more refined nose shape. Nose thread lift is also commonly used to heighten the nose bridge and enhance the nose tip, and is often done together with facelists, as they apply the same concept and material.

Generally, hair loss is the loss of hair from the scalp (on our head) or other body parts. Hair loss can include excessive shedding, hair thinning, receding hairline, patchy bald spots, or excessively oily or dry scalp. Hair loss differs between men and women, and can also be different according to region and race (a topic still under research!).
Age is certainly a factor, though not the ultimate one. Hair loss is more likely to affect males, elder people, and highly stressed individual. Fewer than 45% of women go through their lives without any hair loss problem at all, while 50% of men have been found to have mild hair loss, and 75% with moderate to severe hair loss.
Hair loss in men is more of an expectancy compared to that for women. By the age of 80 years, 80% of men are affected by hair loss. Besides, 25% of men start showing hair loss signs as early as in their 20s!
For women, about ⅓ of women experience hair loss at some point in their lives, and ⅔ women experience hair loss after menopause. However, hair fall is actually extremely normal for both women and man. Losing up to 250 strands of hair when you shampoo is normal for women with long hair!
Aging is no doubt the most common cause of hair loss. However, did you know that you aren’t actually ‘losing hair’, but more on reduced hair growth during old age? On average, our hair grows up to 1.5 inches every month. The process of aging slows down the hair growth (which is unavoidable). So when your hair growth is slower than your hair fall, you start to notice less hair on your head.
However, you may want to see a specialist when you experience the following conditions: Rapid hair loss Hair loss accompanied by itching, skin irritation, pain etc. Hair loss happens after consuming certain foods or medication
Hair loss is a common longstanding problem for both men and women, albeit in different forms across gender. Hair loss can be caused by aging, genetics, diet, hormones, or skin infections and medications.
There are several types of hair loss treatment that can be done for you to regain a head full of hair, including Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE), Platelet-rich Plasma (PRP) treatment, mesotherapy, hair regrowth injections, and others.
Discuss with your doctor to see which treatment suits your condition best to help you achieve your desired results.
Sometimes, hair loss can be caused by scalp infections like fungal infections or skin disorders. These can usually be treated with medicines or medical treatments, allowing hair to grow back after treatment.
Some medications or treatments can also lead to hair loss, especially those involving cancer (chemotherapy and radiotherapy), diabetes, arthritis, heart disease, or high blood pressure. Hormonal medication, birth control pills, steroids and acne medications affect our hormonal balance and may also lead to hair loss.
Treatments are aplenty these days for hair loss, so even though your hereditary hair loss can be unavoidable, it is certainly treatable. From topical medicines to treatments and procedures, find your preferred treatment at your preferred clinic, here.
There are different types of pigmentation on our skin, including freckles, melasma, sunspots, keratosis and others. Knowing which type of pigmentation you have is important in getting the right treatment for it. Acne scars are formed due to various reasons, including untreated inflammatory acne, bacteria infection, skin damage due to popping pimples, among others. What type of acne scar do you have? The 3 general types of acne scars are pseudo-scars (red marks left behind by inflammatory acne), depressed scars (tiny holes on the skin due to skin damage), and hypertrophic scars (lumps over the surface of acne). Most birthmarks do not cause harm to our health, but some can grow and become aesthetic problems, especially if they appear on our face or body. Laser treatments are used to get rid of the pigments causing the birthmarks on the skin. Multiple treatments may be needed to fully get rid of the marks, so you can discuss with the doctor on how the treatment would go. Also, suspicious birthmarks like moles that changes in size or shape should be tested or biopsied for any chances of a cancerous cell.
Keloids are caused by an overgrowth of tissues that usually develops during our skin healing process. They are usually red or purple in colour and have the appearance of a raised scar. Common areas for the formation of keloid scars are the upper chest and shoulder area. Treatments for keloid removal include laser treatments or steroid injections. Depending on your skin condition, you can discuss with your doctor to see which treatment suits you best.

This includes chemical peeling, laser treatments, PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) treatments, and filler injections. Different treatments have different procedures and are most effective for different specific skin conditions. Been visiting Dr Moses Ng at Junction 10 outlet since March for acne scar removal treatments and so far I am really pleased with the results! Unlike other acne clinics who are out there to pull a fast one on most patients, I was pleasantly surprised when Dr Moses advised me to not waste money on unnecessary topical creams and only prescribed to me the ones that I truly needed. In addition, the staff are also really helpful and friendly, especially Joan who has been helping me with the procedures. All in all, highly recommended to anyone who is facing a emotionally tough battle against Acne!

Been visiting APAX and consulting with Dr Moses since the start of the year for treatment on acne scars. Currently on 2 infini sessions out of 4, progress has been good with scarring improvement and reduction in pigmentation. Never met a more caring , professional and dedicated clinic. Dr Moses ensures that you are the getting the exact treatment that you need, never felt like i was getting overcharged for something I don't need unlike some other skin clinics. The staff there have been lovely too, they are probably the most responsive team on whatsapp catering to anything you need. Service standards are probably the best in the business. Will write an update at the end of my treatment.
Visited APAX Medical for my persistent acne problem since teenager time. I had seen many doctors and prescribed many products but not much use and I was feeling depressed and disappointed. Dr Moses is a friendly doctor who really takes time to listen to my concerns. I'm very satisfied with my experience at the clinic so far. My acne is much better now. The staff are very patient with me and pricing reasonable. Highly recommend this neighbourhood clinic!

I am nearing the end of my journey on Actonin (accutane/roaccutane), and I'm so so SO incredibly happy with the results. From the get go, Dr Moses was super helpful, honest, and supportive. He truly cares about the well being of his patients, and genuinely seeks to help them improve the health of their skin. I barely had any side effects to the accutane, and the results were quicker than expected. My acne honestly had a MAJOR improvement by the end of the 1st month, and it only got better since. Be aware that there is usually an initial outbreak of acne when first starting the medication, but this will eventually go away. I was worried, but I was constantly reassured and encouraged, so this helped me. I'm happy to say that I'm essentially free of acne now, and while I get the occasional spot here and there, they are quick to go away and are very insignificant. Diet definitely helps play a role in how effective accutane works for you as well - I decided to limit my dairy intake, which arguably helped the accutane work even better. I'm so thankful for Dr Moses and his team. Before coming to him I was very insecure, and would hide my face. But now, I feel a new sense of confidence which I have never experienced before. Thank you. [more photos of my transformation can be seen on my instagram: @acnestudiosripoff]

First visited Apax mid-2017 with moderate acne. Dr Ng was really friendly, he would always explain my condition and progress in a concise manner. After going for several hydraplus sessions and using the prescribed combination of facial products as well as isotretinoin, I was happy to see a major improvement in my complexion by the start of 2018. Will recommend this clinic to anyone looking to improve their skin condition, they have a range of treatments available.

For 6 months, I was receiving treatment at a private hospital for cystic acne. Despite being placed on a course of accutane, there were no visible results which was rather disheartening.
As such, I decided to make a switch and chanced upon Dr Ng's clinic. He adjusted the dosage of accutane and the results have been tremendous after 2 months. The large lumps under the skin have vanished and there has been no more sporadic, major outbreaks. In the midst of this, his prompt and accurate diagnosis also cured an infected area of the face which had been bleeding continually for months.
After my adult acne set in, I have grappled with my skin condition for years and paid numerous fruitless visits to various dermatologists in town. Out of all, I would believe that Dr Ng is the only patient-centric dermatologist whose medical expertise I can truly attest to.
